Virginia Beach - An Excellent Summer Destination

Virginia Beach is a first-class destination for your vacation. It is located in the Hampton Roads in the state of Virginia. This quality resort offers various relaxation options as well as many cultural and historical sites. With its famous 38-mile shores, Virginia Beach is just the right place to enjoy the sunny weather and the ocean breeze. While you are in the area, visit the Cape Henry Lighthouse, which is the first constructed by the federal government. Other than the old one dating from the late 18th century, there is a newer one from the late 19th century which is also a famous historical site in Virginia Beach.
Go to the Old Coast Guard Station to explore the history behind this 20th century building that has been used as a saving station for many years and has many stories to tell. Other places worth going to are the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum and the Association for Research & Enlightenment.
Don't miss the Virginia Aquarium because the experience will be amazing with many shows and various sea habitats. To enjoy some more of the wildlife visit the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and the North Landing River Natural Area. And last but not least, visit the Ocean Breeze Waterpark that has become a trademark for Virginia Beach kind of fun.
