3 Must See Areas in Outdoor Paradise State of Utah
Outdoor lovers would really like it in Utah. Whether you are looking for ski resorts and golf courses or more historic sites, you will be amazed at the facilities and at what great fun you'll be having. Utah will certainly offer you quite diverse adventure and fun.
About Utah
On average, Utah has the highest peaks in the country. It's not a wonder why it gained its own name “Utah” from a word which actually means people of the mountains. Dubbed as one of the fastest growing states in the recent years, you can expect to find urban living. On the other hand, you can also expect to experience one of the best adventures as well. And so, Utah is certainly a great place for vacations whether you are with your family, friends or even alone.
Utah Holiday Accommodation
Since Utah offers both urban and rural flavors, you can expect to find first class vacation rentals and hotels. You will also find more affordable holiday rentals such as holiday cottages. Of course, if you demand luxury and privacy at the same time you should book luxury holiday villas.
Arches National Park
If you want something unique about Utah, you should visit the Arches National Park. Whether you go there in bikes, hike going there or ride in 4X4 vehicles, you would surely be amazed of this natural wonder. Amidst the 73,000 acre park, there are natural stone arches to explore. This is a red dessert with eroded sandstones in the shape of fins, spires, pinnacles, arches, balanced rocks and many more.
While on the 4X4 you can also head out from the park to Dry Mesa. From there, there are many trails to follow like the Yellow Cat and Dome Plateau which overlook the arches. Of course, hiking would get you closer to the formations themselves. There are many types of trails around so you can easily choose the easiest or the most adventurous trails there. The most popular one though is the Delicate Arch viewpoint. This is basically because the trail is short and easy. And best of all, you get the best view of the Delicate Arch. You can take as many photographs as you can when you get there. You even have a choice between the upper and lower trail. While the lower trail is easier, it provides you a more intimate view of the arch. The upper trail, on the other hand, gives you an overlooking view from the arch. Climbing routes are also available so if you're an avid climbing with advanced skills.
Grand Canyon National Park
Of course, the Grand Canyon is a must see while in Utah. Dubbed as one of the 7 wonders of the world, you would be amazed at the features you will see in the park. With ferns, cottonwood trees, prickly pear cactus and other flowering plants in the park, biking would be a great adventure. Taking terrains there you will surely get a great view of the Grand Canyon too.
Hiking is also a great idea. You really get an opportunity to be one with nature. By following the trails, you get a chance to reach the inner canyon and its rims. Of course, to be able to do that, you should be prepared for the strenuous but nevertheless, fulfilling and enjoyable trip. If you want an adventure, you might be interested on the mule ride while exploring the Grand Canyon. Horseback rides are also available in the area.
Many of the vistas, canyons and trails are also available through off-road tours. So to get to more scenery this is even more ideal. And of course, it may be less tiring as you would be riding a vehicle while exploring the Grand Canyon.
Salt Lake City
The capital city of the state is also a must visit when you plan your holiday to Utah. Surely the view of the sunset at the Great Salt Lake would make the trip there worth it. Its great waters and white sandy beaches would make the vacation even more fun. You may also enjoy swimming and sailing while in the area.
If you want some adrenaline rushing scenes, you would experience that at the Miller Motorsports Park when you go there during a race. Whether you enjoy car or bike races, you will surely have a grand time there.
Speaking of sports, you should not miss watching a game when the Utah Jazz is on the court for an exciting game. While this not outdoors, you would surely be on your feet from the start to the beep of the buzzer.
Skiing and snowboarding is, of course, popular in the city. Not only would you enjoy the speed and momentum of your rides but the scenery as well. After a day of action, you can always relax and then enjoy at the many bars, clubs and restaurants within the ski area and the rest of the city.
