St. Petersburg is a city in Florida that is famous for being a favourite vacation destination for foreign and American tourists.
St. Petersburg is located on a peninsula near Tampa Bay. Three hundred and sixty days of the year, the weather here is splendid. St. Petersburg is often called the Sunny City. It was established in the late 19th century by John William and Peter Demense who was Russian. It was his origins that the city the name St. Petersburg, as it is the former capital of Demense's homeland. Vacationers once had to board a flight to get to St. Petersburg, but it is now connected by bridge to Tampa, and St. Petersburg has become an even more popular spot for relaxation.
The place is extremely good for family vacations as well as for simple fun and exploring, as the city has so much to offer.
