          Sandy or Sandy City is situated in the state of Utah, Salt Lake City County, USA. It is very close to the Salt Lake City - the sixth largest city in the states, and is actually one of its suburbs.
          The place has many things to offer to its residents and visitors. One of the most famous locations is City Towne Center - a huge shopping mall, located east of the Interstate 15. That place is really big and is worth visiting. The whole built-up area is estimated to 1 300 000 square feet which is almost 120 000 square meters. The Place holds one hundred and fifty stores and eight restaurants. Tourists visiting the Sandy City should be careful because there is real danger to spend their whole vacation in there shopping. Like every mall place the center is organizing events for its customers for winning special awards, tickets and discounts.           Big attraction for the sport fans will be the recently opened Rio Tinto Stadium in the city, also known as “The RioT”. The construction is made in 2008 and hosts mainly the games of the local Major League Soccer team Real Salt Lake. Like each big and nice stadium this one has also been stage for huge musical events. Names and bands like the Eagles, Paul McCartney and The Kiss were performing during the last years here.
          The city is situated near the Wasatch Mountain, which is a beautiful place to be seen.
          Sandy has many parks for relaxation, walks and picnics. The biggest one of them is called the Flat Iron Mesa Park. There is also nice options for bikers, but maybe most delighted will be the children, because the place has two big playgrounds for them. Whatever you prefer to do the Iron Mesa will be good choice to spend time outdoors.
          It was proved that Aquariums are always fun and not only for the kids. So it is really good news that Sandy City has one. The place is interactive and allows visitors to pet the habitants. The Aquarium is called The Living Planet. There is also an exhibit of specific species from Utah and the area of Salt Lake City. Of course there is place where visitors can meet everyone's favorite dolphins and the coolest part - a sunken ship waiting to be explored.
          Another amazing place for the kids' fun is the Jungle Jim Playland. The playground offers tunnels and many arcades, as also tubes, slides and chutes. Some of the rides include carrousel and bumper.
          The city also has several good golf clubs to practice the favorite game.
          To understand better the history of Sandy, visit the local museum. Established in the end of the 19th century the place shows interesting facts about the city, dating way back to its incorporation.
