The area is tattooed by rock art from the Fremont and Ute Indian cultures bringing life to the landscape even hundreds of years ago. The Northwest's remote areas are sure to inspire the feeling you are in an undiscovered land that not many get to see.
Just outside of Steamboat Springs, tucked away alongside Hot Spring Creek is Strawberry Park Hot Springs, where at night clothing is optional and kids are not allowed after sundown. Picture soaking in a natural 104-degree pool of mineral water, as you sip on a glass of champagne, this scene is available everyday in this popular park. All the pools of Strawberry Park are brilliantly carved from stone, keeping intact the feel of the natural environment of the hot springs. Strawberry's team will massage away your tension with various massage therapy sessions that are available.

If you're visiting in the “unofficial” mountain biking season of Colorado in April, then be sure to attend the annual Fruita Fat Tire Festival in the Colorado National Monument. The annual event takes place every year and is an 18-hour-long race event. High-line State Park houses the event and has stunning overland views you can experience while biking to the finish line. The course is just over seven miles long, with a traditional taco party waiting your arrival at the end.
When the kids are getting restless you can stop off at the Dinosaur Journey Museum, where there are over 20 interactive displays for children of all ages. They also have a mock quarry where children can dig for their own fossils and search for their own souvenir. Ever wondered what an earthquake feels like? Well you can stand in the earthquake room in the museum and feel the ground shake beneath your feet, letting you experience the strength of one of Earth's most powerful forces firsthand.
In the Dinosaur Diamond area you can stand 2,700 feet above the Green and Yampa Rivers marveling at the 25-foot natural waterfall or observe the painted and carved petroglyphs of the Native American Indian Tribes that once inhabited the region.
