You can go to his birthplace and visit the stupa where he spent his last days, this is one of the most holy sites in Nepal. Although Nepal is well known not only for its numerous Buddhist temples and stupas but also the highest mountain in the world Mt. Everest, which towers in the sky line far into the clouds at over 17,500 feet. Many visit Nepal just to try and reach the peak of the monstrous mountain range, few make it all the way to the highest land point in the world. Nepal is also well known for its beautiful lands, ancient ruins and one of kind ecosystems found in its wildlife preserves, where the last Bengal tigers roam.
