The kids' paradise, A Carousel for Missoula, is an original, hand-carved carousels, one of the first to be constructed after the Great Depression. It was built by hundreds of volunteers and has 38 horses and two chariots, suitable for people with disabilities. Adjacent to the carousel is the magical playland Dragon Hollow where kids will go wild. It combines the effort and collaboration of artists, architectural consultants and play-area experts - local grade school students.

The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula was established to preserve Fort Missoula and to interpret the local history. It provides a valuable educational and cultural experience for its visitors. At the heart of the stunning natural landscape of western Montana, the University of Montana attracts not only top teachers and researchers but also students from around the globe. Called “the most scenic campus in America” by the Rolling Stone Magazine, UM definitely has to be visited.
