Lake Las Vegas - One of Southern Nevada'S Gems

   
Lake Las Vegas is a small but rather intriguing community, situated in Henderson, in the state of Nevada. The lake and the area around it share one and the same name - Lake Las Vegas. The lake is man-made, spreading over 320 acres. The region has several casinos and hotels, the most popular of which are: the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, the Ravella at Lake Las Vegas, the Monte Lago Village Resort and Casino MonteLago.
   
The dam was completed in 1991 and is about 1,500 metres long and 218 metres wide.
    
Lake Las Vegas has so much to offer, it will be tough to do it all. Boating across the glistening unruffled surface of the lake is a blissful amusement and a great way to relax. If you are an enthusiastic angler, you can go fishing surrounded by the inspiring setting of the lake's shorelines.
   
You can stop for a delicious lunch at one of the restaurants in the village and afterwards head out for a tour of the boutiques. In the course of your stroll, you will come across sophisticated tapas and elegant wine-tastings. A ride on the La Contessa Yacht at night will be the ideal end of a full day. The Village started to function in 2003 and since then hasn't ceased to be a lovely spot for carefree strolls. The Village is recreation of an ancient, Italian-style lakeside village. Every little detail follows the original conception, from the narrow cobblestone streets and sumptuous condominiums, to the piazzas and boat dock, typical of the Italian lakeside communities - they all come together in an old-fashioned atmosphere. The quaint streets are filled with inviting small restaurants and specialty boutiques. The Village recreates the feel of the lake region in Northern Italy, or to be more specific that of Tuscany, with its blend of architectural elements, the elegance and the pristine beauty of the surrounding landscape.
   
One of the most romantic things you can do while in Lake Las Vegas is take an escorted gondola ride, while you contemplate the gentle sunset and see your reflection in the water below. Or you can rent motorboats and other vehicles for your personal use. For all kinds of special events and even weddings, visitors can take advantage of the available yachts.
   
Lake Las Vegas is a Mediterranean-inspired oasis, tucked into the foothills of the towering mountains. Lake Las Vegas Marina is only half an hour away from the Strip. It reveals a spectacular view of the lake while the gentle desert breeze ruffles the lake's surface, making you momentarily forget about all your cares.
