Lake Harmony - The Snow Paradise of the Poconos

Tucked away in the scenic Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Lake Harmony is a small town with a population of about 1,400 permanents residents. The golfing opportunities in the area are also tempting - three cities offer golf courses, each featuring at least an18-hole course and golfing amenities like specialized shops and on-site restaurants. The Lake Harmony golf courses are part of the Split Rock Resort and Golf Club, a complex with numerous facilities, including tennis courts, a movie theatre and more. The nine holes course plays 2,974 yards while and 18-hole course plays 6,807-yards, lasting for more than four hours. Jack Frost Mountain and Big Boulder, or "The Big Two", as the local residents usually refer to them, afford thrilling skiing opportunities and lodgings, picturesquely nestled in the mountain slopes. Big Boulder is mainly preferred by families, as it is a more kid-friendly mountain while, on the other hand, Jack Frost is popular with the more extreme athletes. Joint ski-lift tickets can take you from one to the other mountain, situated only six miles apart from each other. "The Big Two" also proffer areas for skating, snowmobiling, sledding and for children's favourite, snow tubing. Even when the snow is melting, the snowmaking and grooming devices ensure the safety of the slopes for all the skiers.

You will find a large variety of skiing trails appropriate for your skills (from beginners to intermediate) in the Jack Frost Ski Area. The summer adds to a completely different charm to Lake Harmony, turning it into a beautiful setting for swimming, fishing and boating.
    
The neighbouring Hickory Run State Park is jam-packed with campsites, picnic areas, hiking trails, and trails for cross-country skiing. You will also have hunting options available when the season allows it and fishing in the crystal clear streams filled with trout.
