Glacier Park - A Unique Gem

Vacation Homes Glacier Park Holiday Rentals There are not many places with landscapes more dramatic than Glacier National Park. Spreading across the vast territory of one million acres, the areas of the park vary greatly, creating unique conditions for the diverse flora and fauna. From rolling hills to high summits, this park has it all. The Glacier National Park is blessed with terrains carved by glaciers, crystal rivers, wild meadows, amazing waterfalls, uniquely shaped rocks, and towering mountain peaks. The Glacier has one of the most significant intact ecosystems in the temperate zone and can be explored in many ways, any of which will certainly give you one of the most unforgettable trips ever.

The Going-to-the-Sun Road is a wonder of engineering science and a National Historic Landmark at the same time. The 52-mile-long road criss-crosses along immense glacial landscapes, taking visitors to the heart of the park, over Logan Pass. It is not an exaggeration to point out that this will be one of the most scenic drives that you will ever set out on. If you decide to explore the Going-to-the-Sun Road by hiking, there are many hiking trails winding through breathtaking scenery right in the heart of this majestic wilderness. Close encounters with wildlife species such as elk, moose, bighorn sheep and  bears are common. The road is open from June to the end of September. Highline Trail is an excellent way to explore the depths of the park during the summer months, when the attendance is at its peak, while in wintertime you can indulge in the most popular outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, ice climbing, and backcountry skiing.

Glacier National Park can be visited anytime of the year, every season unrecognizably transforming the beauty of the park, adding different charm to the natural wonders.

Examine the unparalleled views of the park from a different aspect by embarking on a Glacier Park Boat Company scenic tour. Try the red bus tours or Sun Tour, which will give you the chance to consider the Blackfeet Indian perspective. Horseback riding is also available.

More adventurous guests of the park will be tempted by the opportunity to raft down the Middle Fork or the North Fork of the Flathead River, one of the most irresistible ways to escape from the everyday. Glacier National Park has more primitive and lesser-explored terrains, especially near Bowman or Kintla Lake. The Two Medicine is an area that is considered to be sacred by the Blackfeet Tribe.
