The Fort Lauderdale Area Will Keep You Busy

The “Venice of America”, as some call Fort Lauderdale because of its intricate weaving of canals is a wonderful metropolis named after William Lauderdale who led soldiers to build forts in the area to defend against Native Indian raids during the Second Seminole War. This area in Florida is a prime destination for fine dining with more than 4,000 restaurants, nightlife comprising over 150 clubs and boating, with over 45,000 yachts and more than 100 marinas. Some say the Fort Lauderdale area of Florida is the ideal place to live with its thriving business district, deep-founded history, tons of high-end shopping and plenty of entertainment to keep you busy.  
   
The booming business center of the Ft. Lauderdale area has become an international hub for top executives. In the downtown business center the area has built an executive airport to handle the growing transportation needs of the corporate community. It is actually the first public heliport in a Central Business District. The most dramatic change was the construction of a two-mile-long wave wall running the coast. The swirl, twirling, neon lit wave wall is now a highlight of the beaches and an engineering marvel. Brick-paved walkways and new sidewalk cafes are around now as well, giving you the opportunity to go for a nice walk on the shore and stop for a drink whenever you would like. 
    
There are also a great many things to do for kids, one of the most popular being the Ft. Lauderdale area's premier kids fun park. You'll be able to find it easily. The massive grounds of the play place have a huge arcade zone with all of the latest technology games and simulators. On the top floor of the complex is the biggest laser tag play area in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Twists and turns in the maze-like, laser tag play area will account for hours of fun. There is also a giant go-kart track that you can ride, not to mention the expansive putt-putt golf course and water bumper boats complete with squirt guns and a water fall.
