And gambling is not the best way to look for some meditative moments, don't you think? Tranquility is on your way when you prefer a small beach community like Briadkill Beach, in Sussex County, Delaware, the United States. Actually it is part of Seaford Micropolitan Area, which was voted as the 28th Best Small Town in America. So, if you feel hunger for theaters or attractions you can just visit Seaford and check out some of the good old city life. Broadkill Beach is the gateway to Delaware Bay and offers public access for swimming. It is surrounded by abundant wildlife and will be perfect for all nature lovers and especially those who like bird watching. The adjacent Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge on the western shore of Delaware Bay established back in 1963. It serves as a sanctuary for migratory birds, while the Bay itself was the first site ever to be classified in the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network. The Refuge is habitat for more than 200 species of birds and many other animals. There are many facilities made to comfort bird watchers and also includes walking trails and observational areas. Its wetland habitat areas are one of the best along the Atlantic Coast. Including woodlands, freshwater and salt marshes, ponds, grasslands, forest areas and more habitats for the migrating shorebirds and wading birds, passing through Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge in the spring and fall on their way to the north. The forest areas of pine, oak and maple species, as well as other trees, are especially good for the wetlands as they tolerate flooding. Broadkill Beach is away from all monstrous shopping center where you can lose yourself while looking for some soda. Actually it hosts just one store called The Broadkill Store, but named by the locals "Broadkill Mall”. So, shopping is one more thing we don't need when we go on a relaxing vacation just because we need the basic stuff when enjoying the nature. Who would want to spend his days in a mall while being on such a vacation? Another cool city in the area is Rehoboth Beach, located just 20 minutes south of Broadkill Beach. Nicknamed "The Nation's Summer Capital" it is visited by many residents of Washington DC. If u are there on the right time of the year you may visit any of the annual festivals held in the city like the Sea Witch Festival, the Rehoboth Beach Autumn Jazz Festival or the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival. Theater is also available in the Rehoboth Theatre of the Arts, where you can see some of the theater acts and performance of The Clear Space Theatre Company. As Delaware Bay is a breeding ground for numerous aquatic species, Broadkill Beach is registered as a sanctuary for horseshoe crabs. You can see these lovely creatures in May and June.
