If you want a different vacation next time, you should rent a holiday villa instead of going to a hotel. You will realize that this will give you more opportunities to explore your holiday destination and really get to meet the locals. You'll have neighbors both other tourists and the locals so instead of enjoying the place from a distance you become a part of it. What's even great about having a rented holiday villa is that you get to have you privacy too. Nevertheless, you have to pick the right holiday villa to enjoy your whole vacation.

For instance, you need enough number of rooms for the entire family or group of friends. Of course, you are alone or only with your partner a single room would do. Most villas are fully equipped but if you plan to do some cooking while on vacation you need to ensure everything is working. If you plan to do some laundry, you also must make sure that the washing machine is working properly too.

Of course, the location is quite important as well. For instance, if you want to be able to take a swim in the beach right when you wake up, you may want a villa with a  beachfront. But if you want to have some privacy, you'd have to pick a location that is a bit farther from crowded beaches. You can, of course, choose a location in the inlands and the mountains if that's what you prefer.
