1. Flexibility
If you're a type of person who prefers flexibility with the things that you do, you should choose a cottage.  You could do some homely recreations like singing or dancing without disrupting other guests, unlike in the hotel.
In addition, you have a fully equipped kitchen where you can have the freedom to cook your choice of food and ingredients to include. You can't do it in a hotel.
2. Personal Space and Size
In a hotel room, you'd have to put up with other guests and you can only go private in your room. In a cottage, you shouldn't worry about nosy guests and staffs who don't know what personal space is because you have the place all for yourself.
Usually, cottages are big. Some can even accommodate up to eight people. You'd have the living room, bed rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a garage.
3. Cheaper
Compare the weekly price of a hotel room in England with a weekly rate of a country cottage. More often, you'd find that cottages are cheaper.
