One of the fastest and cheapest ways to get around Europe is by taking the Eurail. But if you're not careful or prepared, you can get lost or worse, you might wake up to find your luggage gone! Read the tips below to help you make the most out of the Eurail.
1. Always check the proper train stations before you depart. Keep tabs on the departure and arrival times as well as the correct station of the train you want to take. Train platforms often show schedules. You can also request for departure and arrival times at information offices.
2. Check your train and car seat before boarding. Remember that trains come and go quickly so you have to be ready to board once your train arrives. You can check for 1st or 2nd class cars by checking numbers on the doors or windows. You can also see the destination of the train by looking at the placards near the door. You can ask railway employees to help you find the proper car. 
3. Make sure that you know when you should get off. Sometimes, train stops are announced in a foreign language. Check your arrival time and take note of the stop before your destination to help you know when to exit. When in doubt, ask railway employees.
4. Keep your belongings safe at all times. This is especially true if you take an overnight train. Make sure that you lock your cabin before sleeping. It's also advisable to use your backpack as a pillow or to keep your luggage right beside you at all times.
