Spending the Holidays Outdoors

Some people spend their holidays simply camped out on the couch or sleeping in bed, but that's just boring. There are so many ways to enjoy and keep yourself preoccupied during the holidays, and one of that is by engaging in outdoor activities.

Not only are outdoor holidays relatively cheaper - as backpacking is much cheaper than booking posh accommodations where you aim is to stay and get pampered - it is also very good for your health. Activities like hiking enable you to exercise your muscles - which suffer when not used much, as regular office work entails little muscle exertion - and gets you to breath fresh air into your lungs. It's also a great way to refresh your mind, as it can get pretty dull up there when you work your mind on one thing over and over again for long periods of time. Like the physical aspects of our bodies, our minds also need the rest and relaxation we enjoy when we go out on vacation. And being able to take in the beauty of nature is really a different experience in itself. So try to look at your options when spending the holiday - the outdoors may be just the thing you need.
