Notes for a Traveller in China

You can never go wrong with a travel in China. However, you must remember various things to make your travel experience a lot better for you and your colleagues.

First, learn basic Mandarin. Though you can find some people who speak English in the country, it will be helpful if you know certain basic conversation words. You can use certain Mandarin words to bargain for certain stuff from the market. Their prices are usually high for tourists so learn the art of bargaining so you'll pay for the right amount. Also, watch out on your expenses. Since their prices are a lot lower than the prices in your country, you may be tempted to buy things that you do not need. Therefore, have a budget and stick to it.

When it comes to hotels, most of them usually charge you for the things that you grabbed or used. Therefore, know what your hotel package includes and stick with it. If they find something missing from their non-complimentary things, you will be charged for it with no question.

Lastly, take note that their airlines only allow one checked bag, one purse, and one carry on bag. The first one must only weigh 20 kilograms while the carry on bag must be 10 kilograms only. You will pay an extra fee for every kilogram you exceed.

If you take note of these things, you will less likely ruin your China getaway. Hence, understand and learn about the place, the people, and the culture first before you step on their land.
