Japan's standard of living is very high compared to its Asian countries, so when travelling to Japan on business, it is best to check the vacation rentals in Japan to find reasonable rates.

Businessmen in Japan are very cost-conscious and many Japanese commute long distances to get to work. Usually, businessmen leave their cars or bicycles at the train station where they live and take the train to Tokyo or the metropolitan city where they work to save on gasoline and because bullet trains are very fast.  When it becomes necessary, they use vacation rentals to stay in the city or stay at business hotels with very small rooms with food provided by vending machines. Employees and workers who just need a place to sleep stay at capsule hotels where the bed are inside small capsules with a television, a shared bathroom and coin lockers for their belongings.
